First Contact Plus provides an easy way to access support that can improve your health, wellbeing and independence. We understand that finding the right help can be confusing, which is why we bring together a range of local services and organisations in one place. You don't need to know which service you need before contacting us. Simply tell us about your situation, and we'll help connect you with the support that's right for you
Our Weight Management Service supports people who want help with their weight, eating habits or overall wellbeing. The healthy weight and lifestyle programme for adults is a 12-week, self-guided course delivered through an app, with new content each week on healthy eating, physical activity, sleep and wellbeing.
If you need more individual support, our tailored programmes cover pregnancy, adults with learning disabilities, and children and families. Depending on the programme, support is online, by phone or face to face with a qualified nutritionist. Eligibility is different for each programme, so check the details before you apply.
Our Stop Smoking Service supports anyone aged 12 and over who lives, works or has a GP registered in Leicestershire or Rutland and wants to stop smoking. A trained stop smoking advisor will take time to understand your circumstances and goals, then work with you to create a realistic plan to quit.
Adults can refer themselves or be referred by a professional, and we offer tailored support during pregnancy. Young people aged 12 to 17 can get support with a referral from a parent or professional. Whether it’s your first attempt or you’ve tried before, you can contact us whenever you feel ready.
Our Warm Homes service can help with advice on how to reduce energy costs and keep your home warm via a team of NVQ Level 3 trained advisers. Ensuring homes are warm, comfortable and affordable helps reduce the negative impacts of cold on health and wellbeing, including issues such as damp and mould.
